SAP Readiness Check is a pre-transformation assessment tool used to evaluate whether an existing SAP system is prepared for a major transition, such as converting to SAP S/4HANA or adopting cloud-based operations. It reviews key areas like custom code usage, add-on compatibility, simplification items, data volume, and integration impacts. The purpose is to identify risks, scope the transformation effort, and provide a clear understanding of required preparation activities. It isnotused for testing coverage, revenue prediction, or license audits.

SAP Cloud ALM provides multiple operational and implementation benefits to businesses undergoing transformation. First, it isavailable to all customers who hold an SAP Enterprise Support Agreement or cloud subscription. This means there are no additional licensing fees, making Cloud ALM a highly accessible lifecycle management platform. Its broad availability encourages consistent adoption across organizations of all sizes.

Second, SAP Cloud ALM isinstantly available as a cloud-native subscription service. There is no installation or infrastructure setup required. Customers can begin using Cloud ALM almost immediately after provisioning, accelerating project kickoff and reducing administrative overhead.

Third, one of its major benefits is that itreduces total cost of ownership (TCO)by minimizing on-premise infrastructure requirements and providing standardized, automated tools for monitoring, implementation, testing, and operations. This reduces the need for multiple separate ALM systems and allows customers to centralize lifecycle activities.

Option A is incorrect because process mining with Plug & Gain is a Signavio capability. Option D is incorrect because Cloud ALM supports both cloud and hybrid/on-premise scenarios through integration monitoring and operational support. Therefore, the correct benefits are B, C, and E.

These six phases—Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run—represent the standard SAP Activate-based structure used in transformation projects. Each phase has specific deliverables: discovery focuses on identifying value and readiness; prepare sets the foundation; explore validates fit-to-standard processes; realize configures and tests the solution; deploy transitions the system into production; and run focuses on operations and continuous improvement. This phased approach provides consistency across transformation initiatives.

SAP Preferred Success is an advanced support program designed to strengthen cloud transformation outcomes. It provides proactive guidance, insight-driven recommendations, continuous adoption monitoring, and defined service-level agreements. These services help ensure that customers achieve value realization and maintain stable solution operations. The other programs focus on partner networks, feedback channels, or collaborative influence—not transformation-focused support with SLAs.

Selective Data Transition (SDT) is a specialized approach that blends elements of both Greenfield (new implementation) and Brownfield (system conversion) strategies. This hybrid methodology allows organizations to selectively migrate configuration settings, historical data, and business processes from their existing systems into a new SAP S/4HANA environment. Unlike a pure Greenfield approach, which requires starting completely fresh, SDT preserves valuable components of the legacy system. At the same time, it avoids the full conversion requirements of a Brownfield approach, offering greater flexibility for reengineering processes and adopting SAP best practices.

SDT is especially useful for companies with multiple ERP systems or those undergoing large-scale consolidation. It enables harmonization of processes, data cleansing activities, and the adoption of standardized templates while still leveraging existing investment where beneficial.

The other options do not combine the two approaches. Cloud-native apps refer to development style; side-by-side migration describes extension patterns; hybrid cloud refers to infrastructure strategy. Selective Data Transition is the only transformation methodology that formally merges the strengths of both Greenfield and Brownfield.

Application Portfolio Management (APM) is the LeanIX product specifically designed to help organizations analyze their current application landscape. It provides an inventory of applications, lifecycle information, ownership details, technology stacks, and relationships to business capabilities. APM allows companies to evaluate redundancy, risks, and optimization opportunities. Other LeanIX modules support planning or governance but do not focus primarily on understanding the existing application portfolio.
